Asia finance industry veteran, David Chang hired by PGIM

PGIM has snagged Franklin Templeton veteran, David Chang. In his new role as Vice Chairman of Asia, Chang will oversee PGIM’s asset management operations in India and Taiwan, as well as PGIM’s joint venture with partner Everbright Securities in mainland China.

Chang will be based in Hong Kong and report to Stuart Parker, President and CEO of PGIM Investments.

“Building out our Asia-based team with exceptional local leadership is a top priority for PGIM Investments,” said Stuart Parker in a statement.

“Bringing in someone with David’s experience will enable us to accelerate our growth whilst demonstrating our commitment to the region.”

Chang previously worked at Franklin Templeton for more than 20 years, serving in roles including CEO and Regional Head of Greater China, and most recently as a senior advisor providing guidance and strategic advice to the broader Asia Pacific team.

He is currently a member of the Board of Independent Advisors of the Hong Kong Family Office Association.
