The list of Chinese apps banned in India has grown further following ongoing concerns about security and the use of data.
India’s Minister of Home Affairs has recommended access be blocked to another 54 mobile apps, mostly of Chinese origin.

Singapore app included in list
Among the list of banned apps is the game ‘Free Fire, which is owned by the Singapore-based company Sea Lts (SE.N).
Requests for comment from Indian authorities have gone unanswered, while Sea, while Sea has so far been tight-lipped.
India has banned more than 300 apps since political tension first flared with its giant neighbour in 2020, leading to the South Asian nation’s initial ban on 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok.
